Presentation of our client

A global player in mobility with operations in 19 countries in 2023, Transdev operates multimodal and environmentally friendly modes of transport for sustainable and inclusive mobility. The group supports local authorities in their public transport development projects and works to promote ecological transition, social cohesion and regional revitalisation. Transdev 2024 is a subsidiary of the Transdev group, created for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to transport spectators from train stations to Olympic venues.

Challenge

As part of the organisation of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Transdev 2024 asked us to manage the sourcing of Reception Officers and Light Vehicle Drivers for two Olympic competition venues: the Palace of Versailles for equestrian events and the Vaires-sur-Marne nautical stadium for canoeing, kayaking and rowing. As this subsidiary did not have a dedicated recruitment team, we took charge of the entire recruitment process, from organising the processing of applications to managing schedules. The main challenge was processing internal applications: seasonal mobility and employees' children. We had two months to qualify potential candidates and organise schedules for the Olympic and Paralympic Games period.

For Transdev 2024, the objective was to recruit 44 receptionists and 22 light vehicle drivers.

Solution

To meet this urgent and high-volume need, we implemented an E-RPO solution with two full-time recruitment officers. We processed the candidate lists provided by the Transdev 2024 team using our ATS and conducted an extensive call campaign to identify 118 candidates who would be available for the Olympic Games. We set ourselves a much higher target for validated candidates in order to anticipate any potential withdrawals. This approach provided Transdev 2024 with a pool of candidates in reserve, ensuring optimal coverage in case of need. We also managed the scheduling and advised our client on the legal framework for temporary work so that they could enter into contracts with the selected candidates.
