Challenge

For a company the size of Panthéra Patrimoine, recruiting freelance wealth management advisors is a major challenge due to several factors. Firstly, recruiting freelancers in 2023 is a major difficulty because this year, the trend shows a marked preference among candidates for more stable and secure positions. Secondly, for a small organisation like our client, it is necessary to stand out from large groups specialising in wealth management that are based in the same region, which is not always easy. Finally, the geographical location added a layer of complexity, as the positions were located in a small employment area.

The choice of potential freelance candidates was therefore not extensive, and many potential freelance wealth management advisers expressed preferences for more dynamic geographical areas. So, to support Panthera Patrimoine, we had to implement a progressive and flexible strategic approach to attract freelance wealth management advisers and encourage them to join our client's team.

Solution

Our client subscribed to our "Performance Offer": our objective was therefore to provide them with between 6 and 10 qualified CVs. To do this, we spent time understanding the challenges, how the company operates and its strengths in order to build a pitch and presentation of the company and the position that would be sufficiently attractive to potential freelance wealth management adviser candidates. We emphasised flexibility, professional growth opportunities and financial benefits, thereby formulating a persuasive argument to attract talent. Given the obstacle presented by freelance status, we chose to adopt a mass sourcing strategy.

This proactive approach involved the use of various communication channels such as automated social media campaigns, automated follow-ups via our ATS, direct outreach to our partner CV databases, SMS follow-ups and a telephone follow-up strategy.

The goal was to maximise our reach and engage a large number of potential candidates in our pipeline. Anticipating the need to filter applications, we planned a rigorous telephone selection process and were able to present not 10, but 14 Freelance Wealth Management Advisors to our client. This approach aimed to offer a variety of profiles while maintaining a high level of quality. We took the initiative when we sensed that the potential market was shrinking as a result of our persistence. Ultimately, the recruitment process resulted in the hiring of two freelance candidates.
