Challenge

Electro Dépôt contacted us to assist them in recruiting a Store Manager or Assistant Manager (M/F) in a geographical area experiencing labour shortages: eastern France. The recruitment team faced several challenges in order to successfully complete this assignment:

- The difficulty of locating the position, as Nancy is a small employment area. As a result, candidates often live far from the target area.

- The low remuneration for these positions compared to equivalent Store Manager or Assistant Manager positions.

With the goal of finding Store Managers within a relatively short time frame (four weeks), the recruitment team realised that it had neither the time nor the tools to successfully recruit in the Nancy area. This recruitment team faced a double challenge: on the one hand, it had no CV database to identify such talent and, on the other hand, as recruitment was not the sole responsibility of the Human Resources department, the team was severely short of time.

In order to successfully recruit an experienced Store Manager or Assistant Manager on a permanent contract for a shop in the Nancy area, it is essential to maximise the visibility of job offers, have effective sourcing tools and source CVs in volume in order to increase the chances of recruiting the best talent. It should be noted that this profile is in high demand on the market and is difficult to attract and retain due to the sector's unattractive remuneration and the obligation to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays.

Our clients, including company directors, HR managers and network directors, are looking for intuitive and effective recruitment tools to facilitate their search and save them time in managing the ideal candidate.

Solution

For four weeks, our team worked with two internal recruiters to manage the recruitment process: searching for, identifying and pre-qualifying talent.

Our services worked on presenting the position in a video with eye-catching content and well-chosen words. To promote the position of Deputy Director or Store Manager on a permanent contract, they told a story to encourage candidates to apply for the various assignments offered for this job. This video was posted on our website and our partners' websites. We also shared it widely on LinkedIn, Facebook and X (Twitter).

A direct approach was at the heart of our strategy: we activated our internal database and those of our partners, as well as LinkedIn Recruiter. For telephone pre-qualifications, we took care to thoroughly validate each candidate's managerial experience, their mobility in the Nancy area and their interest in the proposed salary so as not to waste our client's time.
