Challenge

Recruiting a Benefits Administrator and a Payroll Administrator is a complex and delicate task, as these are scarce profiles requiring a high level of expertise. KMSI's Human Resources department consists of a single person who manages the entire company. As a result, our client does not have the time to devote to recruiting Payroll Managers, nor does she have the budget to advertise or access CV databases or LinkedIn Recruiter. In addition, KMSI faces additional difficulties due to the level of remuneration associated with this type of position, which is well below the average salary usually offered for Payroll Managers.

Finding a professional motivated by these conditions therefore becomes a real challenge, requiring a proactive, targeted and well-equipped sourcing approach. This Payroll Manager recruitment project therefore required careful organisation, the automation of certain tasks, employer branding, the use of sourcing tools and a significant amount of time. It was therefore imperative for KMSI to seek support for its Payroll Manager recruitment strategy and to adopt an innovative approach to attract specialised talent quickly.

Solution

Given the complexity of finding several Payroll & Sickness Managers, an innovative approach was required. Here is how Morgan Philips Outsourcing responded to the client's significant constraints. To begin with, we set up an E-RPO service for four half-days per week for six non-consecutive months; a resource that our client managed directly. In this way, they created a real partnership, which enabled our Research Manager to learn about the company's sales pitch to attract the best Payroll Managers, quickly understand the challenges of the positions, recruitment and the expectations of operational staff. It also enabled us to implement a tailor-made sourcing strategy and make adjustments in real time if necessary. We quickly had to expand our sourcing tools by exploring different databases and thinking of new keywords to maximise our chances of finding motivated Payroll Managers.

The direct link established with our client enabled our Research Manager to gain an in-depth understanding of the position and achieve better results in record time. In particular, she was able to easily answer candidates' technical questions during pre-qualification telephone interviews, as she did not have to wait several hours or days for a response from our client. The implementation of collaborative tools between KMSI and Morgan Philips Outsourcing enabled smooth communication in real time, which greatly contributed to the success of this service. Morgan Philips Outsourcing received almost instant feedback on the follow-up to the pre-qualification telephone interviews and interviews with operational staff. Thus, for six months, this partnership worked on a daily basis and enabled the recruitment of several Payroll Managers with complete peace of mind.
