RESULTS

Successful high-volume recruitment project: 200 additional cabin crew members recruited for summer 2023

Challenge

We assisted Air France in managing their high-volume recruitment campaign for additional cabin crew. These are flight attendants for seasonal fixed-term contracts from July to August. The project began as soon as Air France launched its communication campaign and lasted two months.

Within 48 hours, more than 1,600 applications were received in their ATS (Application Tracking System) for 200 fixed-term contracts to be filled. The task was to process this large volume of applications in accordance with Air France's procedures, which involved checking each candidate's administrative files, organising personality tests, and managing the administrative side of things until the candidate was either hired or rejected.

Solution

Our solution required three full-time recruitment officers for 1.5 months, two project managers for 2.5 months, and a team of ten recruitment consultants from Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment, our partner in this project, for 1.5 months.

To successfully complete a large-scale recruitment project of this magnitude, we had to work directly in our client's ATS and from their personality test platform. We set up a dedicated telephone line and implemented calendar management tools to organise more than 60 personality test sessions. We automated reporting to give Air France the ability to track the project's progress on a daily basis.

We worked closely with the team at Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment to ensure that Air France's procedures were followed and that the interview schedule was in line with the expected pace.

Project management played a decisive role in handling this large-scale recruitment project because, with multiple client contacts and large internal teams, it was essential to have flawless organisation. Communication with the Air France teams had to be easy and fluid.

    This project was a challenge for the entire team. We combined the strengths of Morgan Philips Outsourcing's Research Officers, who worked with Air France's tools, with consultants from the Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment to conduct the interviews. To ensure the success of this mission, we appointed two project managers who liaised with the client on a daily basis. We had to deploy new tools and a new organisational structure in less than a week.
